Today marks the 112th anniversary of Major League Baseball’s American League. Originally a minor league centered around the Great Lakes region called the Western League, it was home to eight teams including the Cleveland Bluebirds, the Chicago White Stockings, and Philadelphia Althletics.
So, as we celebrate the trucks leaving Progressive Field as they head for Goodyear, Arizona for Spring Training, the theme of today’s 4-play is “American.”
